Its life lung is the Uaso Nyiro River coursing through its craggy terrain full of stone, thorn bush and the forked doum palms. In this arid zone where water is scarce and the land baked by the eternal sun, herds of elephants and the big cats roam the plains with the Samburu special – the Reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the long necked antelope, the gerenuk easily seen despite its harsh climes.

You will be picked from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport to Wilson airport, where you board the scheduled flight to Samburu.On a arrival at the airstrip,a Sarova Shaba driver guide will be waiting for you for a transfer to the Samburu Serena lodge for check-in. Afternoon game drive to explore the wildlife in the park.

Early morning and afternoon game drives exploring this arid wilderness while photographing its main inhabitants.The uniqueness of Samburu is that it is located in a semi Arid region of Kenya where game viewing of unique species and Samburu Culture is experienced .
