Stop en-route at the view point of the Great Rift Valley for it's stunning views arriving Lake Naivasha by mid-morning for bird walk before time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. Lake Naivasha being close to Lake Nakuru and 65 miles from Nairobi, is freshwater Lake. It was declared a bird sanctuary in 1967 and also supports pastoral industries of wine and flowers. During your full day field trip to Lake Naivasha, we study the birds of the region such as herons, fish eagles, ospreys, black crakes, and lily-trotters. Dominated by the shadow of Mt. Longonot, few lakes in the world have a more commanding or spectacular setting than Naivasha. Also have an excursion to the Elsa mere Center. Activities include reliving the experience of Joy Adamson and Elsa while viewing "Born Free." Lake Naivasha being on the Rift floor is home to an incredible variety of species. Day 2.Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru Breakfast and leave Naivasha for Lake Nakuru Park, regarded by avid birders' as the greatest World ornithological spectacle on the Earth. The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingoes lining on the lake shore, arriving by mid morning at Lake Nakuru for a game drive en route before checking-in at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for Lunch. Afternoon game drive followed by a walk along the shores where you will be able to view the many wild animals in the park.It is the Sanctuary to the Black Rhino, White Rhino and the Rothschild Giraffe. Here you will also have the chance to view some of the common species like the Lesser and Greater Flamingoes, African fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans plus other intra- African Migrants. Day 3.Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara Breakfast and drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley the longest rift in the crust of the Earth to Maasai Mara Game Reserve the unspoiled Savannah. Maasai Mara is actually the northern portion of the Great Plains ecosystem in the neighboring Tanzania called Serengeti. It is a home to the "big five" lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard and elephant as well cheetah, zebra, giraffe and vast herds of plain antelope and numerous other wildlife. Your lunch and accommodation for the nights will be at one of the excellent lodge Mara Sopa Lodge/similar. Sopa is a Masai word meaning welcome and indeed this is a tradition which has been well adopted by the lodge to al it'sl guests. Set in the Oloolaimutia valley the lodge blends in the perfectly surrounding hillside landscape. Day 4.Masai Mara  A full day in the Mara, the extensive grasslands are a strong hold to the threatened, migratory Corncrake and the near threatened Jackson's widowbird. The bush and woodlands around the reserve also hold some unique bird species, more than 450 bird species have been recorded in the Mara, including 12 species of cisticola and birds of prey. Large numbers of palaerctic migrants winter in the area including Caspian plovers and white storks. Other local and unusual birds in the Mara include Rock Cisticola, Rufous Bellied Heron, Denham's Bustard, Black Coucal, Red Tailed chat, Pale Wren Warbler, Tabora Cisticola, Yellow Bellied Hyliota, Green-capped Eremomela and Magpie Shrike. Day 5.Masai Mara - Nairobi After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch at a Nairobi Hotel/ Restaurant where you can enjoy some good food, Check-in to a day room at Nairobi hotel/or take a half day excursion of our capital city.Depending on your dearture time ,Later early in the evening, dinner will be hosted by our company at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant considered "Africa's greatest eating experience" (if you love barbecue it doesn't get better than this), and home to the "Simba Saloon" one of the cities most popular night clubs. Thereafter you will be transferred to the airport in time for your International departure flight.

Day 2.Nairobi - Thika Breakfast and depart for Thika, unique with its twin waterfalls Chania and Thika Falls, provide rewarding bird watching time for birders'.you will have a great opportunity to encounter a few coastal species that penetrate into main land following the River Tana.You could be lucky to see the Trumpeter Hornbill, Brown Hooded Kingfisher, Zanzibar Sombre Green-bull and African Golden Weaver. Great egret, Ayres Hawk Eagle, Green sand piper, African green pigeon, Eastern bronze napped pigeon, Purple Crested Turaco, Green headed sunbird and Black cuckoo shrike before our lunch time at Blue Post Inn Hotel.Later in the afternoon leave Thika and climb high until the slopes of Mt Kenya, Naro Moru where mountain forest gives way to valley grassland. Day 3.Mt. Kenya We will spend the whole and birding at this Mountain Lodge with montane forest. Rare species likely to be seen include;Green Ibis, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Harrier Hawk, Rufous Sparrow hawk, Ayre's Hawk Eagle. Black stork, Red Fronted Parrots, Green Ibis Common snipe, Mountain Buzzard, Bronze napped pigeon Mountain white-eye, Abbots Starling, Sharpe's Starling, Mountain Oriole and Thick-billed seedeater. Day 4.Mt. Kenya - Lake Baringo- Lake Bogoria Breakfast and leave for Lake Baringo with a stop at the Nyahururu Waterfalls, there are possibilities of sighting Chestnut-Winged Starlings, Slender billed starling, Rock Martin, Grey cuckoo shrike around the waterfalls. Proceed on by road into the Great Rift Valley and onto Lake Bogoria National Park. The Reserve's herd of the rare Greater Kudu makes it unique and other game to view. The south shore of Lake Bogoria has acacia-ficus woodland and to the north is a papyrus swamp. Birds unique to this area include, Congregatory of Lesser and Greater flamingo,Steppe eagle, Curlew Sand piper, Black necked grebe and Black headed Plover. Day 5.Lake Baringo Full day at Baringo, well known by many avid Ornithologist as mecca for Birds, with 500 species of birds having been recorded. Explore this area with field Birding around Lake Baringo, it's environs, the Cliffs and the bushes. There are possibilities to see rare species like, Cape Eagle Owl, White-faced Scops Owl, Jackson's Hornbill, Hemprich's Hornbill, Brown-Tailed Rock Chat, Nothern Red Bishop, Northern Masked Weaver and White Billed Buffalo Weaver, Olivaceous Warbler, Northern brownbul, Jackson's golden backed weaver, Little weaver, Brown Tailed Rock Chat, Goliath heron, Northern Shoveller, Verreauxs eagle owl, Bristle crowned starling, Senegal Thicknee, Pygmy falcon, Blue cheecked bee-eater. Day 6.Lake Baringo - Lake Nakuru Leave after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park coloured with a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Nakuru National Park, a shallow and strongly alkaline lake, with surrounding acacia woodland & grassland. Firstly gazetted as a bird sanctuary is, known for its bird life for the thousands of Lesser and Greater flamingos ake this lake their home, among hundreds of other Species unique to this area which include, White winged Black Tern, Hilderbrants Francolin, African fish eagle, Steppe eagle, Grey crested Helmet Shrike, Red-capped lark, Spotted Crake. Wildlife is also in abundance here. Lake Nakuru National Park has been made into one of Kenya's rhino sanctuary. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay tonight will be at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge/similar.
Day 7: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha arriving at 0930hrsfor a morning bird walk or boat ride (Optional), the only fresh water rift valley lake in Kenya. It's unique in that its' freshness is maintained by a combination of underground out flow and sedimentation of salts. The lake supports a diverse water-bird community, with more than 80 species recorded regularly. It is a significant site for Red knobbed coots, African spoonbill, African jacana and little grebes depending on water levels. All meals will be served at Lake Naivasha Sopa lodge /similar.
Day 8.Lake Naivasha
Full day at the lake Naivasha Region with bird walks around the Club grounds and a visit to the Elsa Mere field study center.Notable birds unique to this area include, Gadwall, Spotted Red Shank, Black Tailed Godwit, Great white egret, Black eaded Gull, Purple Swamp Hen and Mottled swift.
