Before Safari!!

I 've been preparing my trip with Joyland Safaris Nairobi, Kenya from Dec-19 to january-9 2012, I'm a "little" control freak, so after the initial proposal, I surf and investigate all the tripadvisors and other comments for each place, lodge and activities on the proposal given. Gideon Muema (The Sales Manager Operator), he really knows what he is talking about.

I'd made all of special requests, like lodge/hotels , rooms types, room orientation (ex. river view), room between number X to number X, because these are at a proper distance, hot water available from room x to x, etc and etc.

Different kinds of commuting, special food diet for me and easy going trips for my wife with enough time to rest in every location, we try several itineraries from kenya to tanzania, decided not to do part of the trip, decided not to do one activity, and then add it again, and also refine the dates that are suitable for my wife and I.

Almost 2/3 weeks process, communicating by e-mail on daily basis we finished the whole trip, Guideon answer ALL my questions and requests quickly and softly, with his better recommendations (he was always right after surfing and crosschecking, and also have some tips about very high rated lodges)

Also, he gave me one spanish contact living in Canada to have a more insight with him about the quality and service of the trip given by Joyland. I received the best references from him, thru e-mail and talked by phone.

Believe me, I'm a very meticulous guy. So now I'm waiting for the dates to come to enjoy this adventure. I have plenty detailed information in advance of my trip to check if the booked trip goes as promised, as this point I don't have any doubts

For now, Joyland Safaris get my vote.

Thank You Gideon.

After Safari!!
As promise...... I am in Mombasa resting of our awesome experience of 11 days gaming in all the following national parks :
from north to south and in chronological order :
Samburu
Mount kenya
lake Nakuru
lake Naivasha
masai Mara
Amboselli
Tsavo West Park

The service given by Joyland Safaris and tours was as promised and better. Every detail was carefully planned and executed.
I had no complains, and everything goes as expected and beyond...............
We really feel totally contain and supported by these guys of Joyland Safaris.
Our Guide Joshua , was fantastic and we hit the road together for 11 days, he always is willing to go the extra mile for the customer... My regards to him.
For Gideon Muema, no words can express our satisfaction, he always was there to solve issues of other people, like the misplacement of one of our cases by SouthAfrican ways.

He took in his hands the problem, and in Dec-25, 48 hs after, we receive the misplaced case in Mont kenya...........................

All our safari goes as planned, with all the special requirements I demand in terms of food, rooms, orientation, views, etc.........................

We had a lifetime experience and we felt like kings because of the treatment we receive everywhere we go with Joyland.

From both of us (My wife and I), congratulations to Joyland for their impressive service and commitment, and our greater apprettiaton.................

Dear Mr. Gideon.
Sorry for not contacting you earlier on arrival home but we have been resting and catching up with friends and family. The stories are numerous and interesting, like no other trip we have taken before, and for this, we have to thank you, Henry and Vicente.

This trip has changed us in many ways by showing us a part of the real Africa in all its beauty and splendour as well as its shortcomings. We hope that we will be able to visit you again in the near future to explore another part of Africa.

I have not yet started to process the Photos but as soon as I am finished, I will send you a few so you can use them for your website if they are good enough. Also, thank Henry for the CDs with music. They are great and give me a lot of material for the family video.

It goes without saying that we will be recommending your company on every occasion that arises hoping that you will be able to show your fabulous country and continent to more people for their education and enjoyment. The services rendered by your company have been impeccable and most professional. Henry and Vicente have not only been our drives/guides but have also become our friends during the trip and in several instances went out of their way so that we could have a more intimate experience with the real everyday Africa. My family and I felt very safe at all times and their expert knowledge and advice was always insightful and wise. And this is priceless!!!

Gideon, please keep in touch and thanks again for the trip of our lifetime.

Sincerely yours
Carlos

Dear Gideon and Team,

It is our pleasure to report on what was an amazing experience. In booking our Tanzanian safari we were attracted by your web site and indeed by the many testimonials and I am pleased to add to these with this account of our experiences.

We admit to being a little nervous when we booked directly with Adventure Joyland Safaris who had no representation in . This apprehension soon dissipated after anumber of reassuring emails outlining our itinerary and totally disappeared when we arrived after a long flight and were greeted by a happy and confident Gideon.

The whole package organised by Joyland Safaris was an excellent and unforgettable experience. It involved 6 days in in the company of Joyland’s Tanzanian agent’s driver / guide (Argre) followed a wonderful day in and surrounds under the excellent guidance of Sim.Both guides were very friendly, humorous, experienced and possessed an obvious passion for their country. We saw and experienced everything we hoped for – abundant wild life, village folk and their lifestyles.

You, your team and agent excelled on all levels, we felt safe and confident that we were in good hands at all times. We would highly recommend Joyland Safaris to anybody contemplating an adventure in East Africa.

Thank you Gideon and may Joyland Safaris continue to deliver the excellent and efficient service that we were so fortunate to experience.

Dear Gideon

Jambo!

My friend Karolyn and I traveled with Joylands Safaris in October 2010. I cannot say how happy we were that we chose to work with them. We had them arrange a Kenya/Tanzania safari followed by a climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Accommodations for the safari were fantastic and all transfers and travel details were handled effortlessly by Gideon. We even added on a balloon safari one morning – an exquisite way to see the migration or just have a lion stare up at you wondering what you are doing (and maybe if you are good to eat?) All we had to do was book our flights to and from Nairobi – we also got our visas in advance, which saved a lot of time at the borders. We had the pleasure of having excellent guides and drivers – Benson in Kenya, Malle in Tanzania and Stanley for our climb. Benson was able to get us to all the best sites before a lot of other trucks would show up – and he managed to get us the best spots for pictures. He was also able to get us a kill experience – which, while somewhat traumatizing to see, is part of the circle of life in the Maasai Mara. Malle made sure we saw all big five – including the black rhinos - and had an amazing morning alone with two lionesses. We even managed to make it to the top of Mt. Kili thanks to Stanley. We miss our African massages and being greeted with jambo everywhere we went. Karolyn and I have traveled the world extensively, but had always longed to visit to East Africa. This trip far exceeded our expectations! The people are wonderful, the landscapes are breathtaking and, as animal lovers, the game drives were simply amazing! We have even begun to recommend Joyland Safaris to friends and family who are thinking of visiting your wonderful country! Hope to return soon and do it all again (ok – climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro once was more than enough!).
Best wishes and many thanks,

Jambo Gideon,
Our 13 night safari
through Kenya and Tanzania was fantastic. For years I had dreamed of going on a safari and it was everything I had dreamed of. The animals were easy to spot and the scenery was varied and beautiful. The Sopa lodge accommodations were beautiful and the food and service was great. I would recommend going at the end of june, after the rains, so the animals are healthy and food and water is still plentiful. We saw all the Big 5 and have enough pictures and memories to last a lifetime. Joshua (Kenya) & Kasanda (Tanzania) our drivers, were very knowledgeable and their English was great. The vehicles were newer and great for viewing, and we felt lucky to have our own private vehicle and driver for just the two of us. I hope to return one day and add Mombasa to my itinerary. I would recommend Joyland Safaris and book with you again. Trip dates: June 25 - July 8, 2010

Hello Gideon,

We travelled with Joyland Safaris & Tours. Overall, it was a fun & pleasant experience and I thoroughly recommend them.

The Operations Manager, Gideon Muema's responsiveness set him apart right from the first enquiry. His readiness to address our concerns promptly was a huge factor in our choosing to go with Joyland.

Jonathan, our driver was with us throughout the trip. His intimate knowledge of the flora/fauna, his friendly nature and his expert handling of the
vehicle had a huge hand in making our experience a great one. The van was not plush, but met our needs and expectations. When you are
jostling around various parks for 7 days, it is very important to have a vehicle which is reliable and comfortable, which it was. The T-shirts Gideon gifted us at the end of the trip was a cute gesture.

Overall, the tour was well organised and both Gideon & Jonathan were warm and friendly and demonstrated real concern to ensure that we experienced the best of Kenya. (Trip dates: 2nd July-9th july 2010)

Warm Regards,

Joyland truly is a first-rate company. Your responsiveness and flexibility in working with our budget was greatly appreciated. We hope our experience encourages others to consider your company when booking a safari and we will certainly be referring you to all our friends and family.

Until we have the opportunity to visit again, best of luck with Joyland and all your future endeavors.Trip dates: May 29 - June 11, 2010

Hello Gideon,
I would like to thank you for the wonderful time we had in Kenya. As you had promised, it was a holiday of a lifetime.
What really made this trip so memorable was our guide, Joshua. He is very knowledgeable, informative and very passionate about his work and love of wildlife. He made every day a wonderful experience. We were amazed at how close we were able to get to the wild animals. Accommodations at the Serena and Sopa lodges were more than we expected. Being able to stay within the parks was a real plus.I would certainly recommend your services to anyone considering a visit to Kenya. If any clients in North America would like more information about Joyland Adventures or our specific safari, they are free to contact us via e-mail.

We will also be mailing you a CD of our pictures today. Hope you can use some on your website. If you do I would appreciate it if you would acknowledge who the contributor is. And please share this with Joshua.

Karen and I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2009. Again please pass along our best wishes to Joshua and his family as well.

Dear Gideon,
I just wanted to write and tell you how wonderful it was working with Joyland Safaris and in particular working with you to set things up. Our safari exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Of course, our goal was to see as many animals as possible and the driver/guides did a superb job of finding them for us. In particular, I was impressed with the number of lions that we found and we found them in so many differing circumstances. In two cases it was right after a kill which provided extra excitement. In one case the hunt was on, but we didn’t have the patience that the ions did so we did not catch the actual kill.

Gideon, I want to thank you for the attention to detail you paid so we always had the best accommodations for the money we were spending and just terrific meals. The whole trip from beginning to end was well coordinated and we always knew what to expect each day. Please thank Benson, Edgar, and Richard for the parts they played in our most satisfying safari.
Thank you once again for everything. I certainly would not hesitate to recommend Joyland Safaris to anyone I know contemplating a safari in Africa.
