  • Turtle Bay Beach Club is situated on 200 metres of beach on the edge of the internationally acclaimed Watamu National Marine Park, one of the best in Kenya.

    The hotel buildings are set in 10 acres of tropically landscaped gardens with 145 rooms, three restaurants, three bars, entertainment lounge and swimming pool, and as such makes up one of the most extensive all-inclusive properties in Kenya.

    Super Club Rooms - 89 Rooms

    These rooms have been extensively renovated and redecorated, all have a separate bath and showers, balcony, split unit air-conditioning, coffee and tea facilities, room safe (free of charge), hair drier, body soap provided and a complete mosquito proof sleeping area. These rooms are also equipped with a double and single bed; some of these rooms have interconnecting doors and 3 have been specifically designed for physically handicapped clients with showers only.
    Lamu Rooms - 40 Rooms

    These are Swahili style units, all renovated and new decorated, with some overlooking the ocean or garden. All with split unit air conditioning and ceiling fan, coffee and tea facilities, room safe (free of charge), hair drier, ensuite bath and shower or showers only, body soap provided, twin beds (or Queen size on request) and mosquito proof sleeping area, patio or terrace. Suitable for 2 adults.
    Ocean Front Rooms - 14 Rooms

    14 rooms which have been extensively refurbished; are beach front all with air-conditioning and ceiling fan, separate bath and shower, double and single bed, room safe (free of charge), hair drier, shampoos are provided and a complete mosquito proof sleeping area and balconies or patios with direct beach access. Have tea/coffee facilities. Suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children
    2 Sea - View Suites


    Lounge and bedroom with split unit air - conditioning, Lamu bed with mosquito net, personalised fridge, room safe (free of charge), hair drier, shampoos are provided, coffee and tea making facilities. Separate shower and bath suitable for two adults.

    OTHER ACTIVITIES


    Tennis Includes group tuition, equipment (ordinary tennis racquets and balls), day and night-time play on a floodlit court.

    Cycling Bicycles for both men and women are available for use.

    MINI CLUB
    The hotel includes a fully supervised Mini Club for 4 –12 year olds, open
    10.00 a.m. – 1.00p.m. and 3.00 p.m. – 9.00 p.m. daily and Tarzan's Tree House, a playground set in our tropical gardens and a kid’s fort by the swimming pool. Parents can enjoy their holiday while we take care of their children. The Mini Club offers cartoons films, games, and field trips. (Baby sitting service on request).

    DAILY ACTIVITIES
    Table-tennis and beach volleyball plus many other daily activities organised by the Fun Base team. We also offer aquatics, beach olympics, beach soccer, village walks, Swahili lessons, darts, sand-castle making, tug-of-war, water polo, snorkelling.

    THEME NIGHTS
    Include African Night, Oriental Night, Italian Night, Mexican Night, Arabic Night, Swahili Night and more.

    NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
    Includes visiting bands, disco, African tribal dancers, acrobatic shows, snake shows, quiz nights and video nights.

    Food


    Full breakfast and dinner offered in the main restaurant by the pool, which seats 300 and has smoking and non-smoking areas overlooking Watamu beach. The meals are buffet style.

    Full lunch is offered at the Snack Bar at the poolside in buffet style and also snacks from 12.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.

    Blue TurtleRestaurant on the beach is regularly utilised in the evenings as a waiter service area. Guests need to book in advance for this area. A la carte menu at an extra charge and also run for special occasions (weddings, etc).

    Pizzeria (Kasaramba Restaurant) overlooking tropical water ponds offers a variety of oven fresh pizzas and other meals for lunch and evening at an extra charge for some meals.

    Group tuition is available for windsurfing boards. The windsurfing school with ordinary windsurf boards for beginners and average windsurfers is managed by a qualified English - German speaking instructor. The advanced and latest under 3 metres equipment is also available at an extra charge. 5 Fun Catamarans are available at the watersport centre. The guests can take a course for ₤25 and a sailing certificate will be issued to them, this will allow the guest to take the boat out for maximum ½ hour a day whenever they like for the rest of their stay. Or another option will be one of the watersports supervisors take the guests on a 1 hour sailing trip through Turtle Lagoon for ₤5.

Day 1 SweetwatersSamburu girl
Arriva at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport,met and commence your safari driving north to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Check in and lunch will be served. Afternoon game drive in the sanctuary and encounter several species of wildlife. Visit the chimpanzees at Sweetwaters, and if the weather permits go for a boat ride down the river. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2.Samburu
After breakfast proceed to Samburu arriving in time for lunch. Relax and spend the rest of the afternoon game watching. The area around the life-giving Uaso Nyiro River,which is a home to the rare and beautiful species of Northern Kenya such as Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk gazelle and the Somali ostrich. Elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and other plains game are also abundant here. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge/Similar.

Day 3. Samburu
Breakfast at the lodge and leave for a walk to the samburu villages. Upon arrival there will be a welcome song by Samburu women followed by a briefing of the village. Spend the day with the tribes people to fetch wood and water. Learn how to make fire the Samburu way (twirling sticks), women will clean milking gourds as the men go outside the village to usher in livestock from grazing. You will be shown to milk the animals (goats) and also participate when the Samburu elders pray and talk about issues concerning the village well being. Lunch in the village. In the afternoon learn the Samburu beadwork, leatherwork, weaving hut building and traditional games. In the early evening there will be a cultural lecture and/or story telling session for everyone, the return to your camp for a well deserved shower. Dinner & overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge/Similar.

maasai worriorsDay 4. Lake Naivasha
After breakfast drive from Samburu, into the Rift Valley to your lodge situated on the hills overlooking Lake Naivasha one of the many beautiful Rift Valley Lakes, and home to thousands of flamingos and other bird and animal life. Arrive for a late lunch. Check in and spend the afternoon to relax with several activities to choose from such as golf, tennis, swimming. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Naivasha Sopa lodge/Similar.

Day 5. Lake Naivasha
Breakfast at the lodge. In the morning l have the opportunity to visit the communities living on Mount Eburru.Visit the three communities living on the mountain. They are people from the Kikuyu's, Turkana and Nderobo tribes. The Nderobo are the indigenous and most interesting. The two other tribes are new arrivals from different parts of Kenya, but are of interest in their own right. You also visit a local school where the children are always ready to sing for the visitors. The visit will take approx. 2 hours. Return to the lodge for lunch. The second cultural experience today is to a Masai Centre and also a visit to Crater Lake. At Crater lake you will go on a walking safari on the rim of the lake and if you are lucky you will see the shy black & white colobus monkey. Drive back to the lodge in time for dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Lodge.

Day 6. Masai Mara
After Breakfast proceed across the floor of The Great Rift Valley, the longest rift in the crust of the earth, to the Masai Mara. You will spend two nights in this natural paradise and see among the widlife zebras, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, elephant, antelope and gazelle. You will encounter prides of lion resting in the shade of acacia trees or lying low in the grass in wait for their next meal. There is a good chance of spotting cheetah and if you are lucky, the shy leopard. Arrive by mid day, lunch in the lodge. After lunch visit the maasai village.Have an interesting and educative lecture on the culture of the Masai who have inhabited the Mara region for the last 300 years with each of the succeeding generation finding no pleasure to hunt any wild game animals for food unless under severe times of famine. The lecturer will talk on the history, homestead, roles of one in the community,the different stages of life, the modern Masai and the changes taking place within the community. Afternoon game viewing in Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge /Similar.

Day 7. Masai Maramaasai dance
Spend early morning game viewing with lunch and a siesta at your lodge. Afternoon visit to a traditional Masai village a kilometre away from the camp and situated in the middle of the Mara, constructed with natural materials from the orange - leafed croton shrubs will give you an experience you have always longed for. Here you have a chance to interact with people who have maintained their unique cultural ways of life for many decades. Tall and elegant with narrowly plaited hair painted in red ochre, the village warriors (Moran) performs cultural dances thrilling to the bottom of the heart leaving you with lasting memories to take home. Return to your lodge with a game drive en route. Overnight Mara Sopa Lodge/Similar.

Day 8.Nairobi
After breakfast return to Nairobi arriving at midday.Depending on your departure Leave for the airport to catch your flight.
